This product, the Dual Shield R-70 Ultra flux cored welding wire, offers superior performance compared to other flux cored wires. It provides smoother arc characteristics and emits fewer welding fumes. Designed to withstand mill scale and surface oxides, it offers improved notch toughness in the as welded condition. The resulting bead contour is flat to slightly convex, and the slag coverage is thorough. Ideal for flat and horizontal single or multi-pass applications on low or medium carbon steels, it is recommended to be used with 100% CO2 shielding gas.
