The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. It is compatible with 0.04" wire and can be used with Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series.
This contact tip is made from high-quality extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy and machined from a copper alloy tubing. It offers excellent electrical properties and has a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/- 0.003".
The contact tip features a threaded style that ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. It comes in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles with different diameter bore sizes.
When the tip wear point is reached, it can be easily twisted a quarter turn clockwise, revealing a new wear point. This doubles the life of the tip and ensures better electrical conductivity with increased surface contact.
Additionally, the thick-walled design of the contact tip acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source.
Each contact tip is sold in packs of 25 and is marked with its part number and wire diameter for easy identification. It is recommended to use genuine Tweco® accessories, parts, and consumables to protect the quality of your welds and the longevity of your MIG gun.
