The Tweco® Spray Master® Series 450 A MIG Gun is a heavy-duty tool designed for welding applications. It can accommodate wires of size 0.045 - 1/16" and features an ergonomic handle design that reduces fatigue for welders. This air-cooled MIG gun is perfect for both spray and pulse welding, making it versatile for various tasks.
The gun is easy to install with its simplified direct rear plug. It comes with a 10' power cable that offers good wire feedability and a Miller® style rear connection. With a capacity to deliver under pressure, this MIG gun has an impressive 80% duty cycle when used with argon/CO2 gases. It requires less maintenance and is easy to repair.
Enhanced performance in high heat applications is achieved with a diffuser, while the thick-walled, three-layer conductor tube acts as a heat sink and ensures higher electrical conductivity and durability. The heavy-duty thick-walled contact tip and diffuser increase the tip's lifespan and minimize downtime with tip changes.
The MIG gun is balanced to pivot at the center of the handle, making it easy to use in different welding positions and reducing operator fatigue. It also features an extended trigger length to keep the hand away from the arc, reducing radiated heat. The steel spring strain relief provides support to the Cablehoz® coming out of the handle, minimizing wire feed issues.
There is an optional mechanical locking trigger available, identified with "LC" Part No. suffix. The gun is designed for easy field repair with a split-half handle case that provides access for repairs, as well as field repairable mechanical cable connections for Cablehoz® spare trigger leads.
The handle and conductor tube are designed to minimize heat, with a heavy-wall conductor tube and front Cablehoz® connection for improved electrical conductivity. The heavy-duty contact tip and diffuser further improve performance, especially in high heat applications.
This MIG gun is compatible with a wide range of welding applications, including spray transfer mode and pulse welding with straight CO2 or mixed gases. Its interchangeable front end consumables are compatible with both Tweco® classic no. Series and Tweco® Spray Master Series, reducing inventory carrying costs.
