The Tweco Velocity is an improved version of the best welding tool on the market. We took into account the feedback from welders who wanted a simpler design with fewer tools and threads. As a result, we created a product that is easy to use, requiring no additional tools, and eliminates the common issues with threads. Unlike typical MIG consumables that have two or even three sets of threads, the Velocity only has one. Additionally, we made sure to use a combination of materials - brass and stainless steel - for the mating threads. This unique combination reduces seizing and cross threading. The brass threads on the replaceable nozzle are softer, providing a better grip and preventing loosening, while the heat-treated stainless threads on the gooseneck are virtually indestructible. Furthermore, the Velocity offers two different options for threading: Fixed Threaded ensures a consistent flushness relationship between the nozzle opening and the contact tip, while Adjustable Slip allows welders to adjust the flushness relationship for improved access during cleaning. Lastly, the Velocity also includes a Spot Weld feature, which is particularly useful for tack and spot welding with MIG.
