OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Self Insulated Copper Nozzle with a 3/4" bore size is specifically designed for standard gas diffusers and is compatible with Tweco® no.6 MIG guns with up to 600 A. This nozzle, measuring 3.372" in length and 1.187" in outer diameter, is perfect for medium to heavy duty welding applications. Its part number is conveniently rolled stamped on the outer surface for easy identification.

Featuring a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an extra insulator, this nozzle consists of a nozzle housing made from copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from silicone material. The nozzle insert is crimped in place, allowing the nozzle to thread onto the conductor tube.

The nozzle provides the necessary electrical insulation required from the gas diffuser by utilizing the nozzle insulator. Made from 122 DHP copper alloy, the nozzle is suitable for higher heat applications that require longer electrical stick-out or in cases where the nozzle may come into contact with the workpiece.

Each pack contains 2 nozzles, and the part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification. The 3-piece design removes the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insulator is made from g7 silicone material, providing the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert is machined from a solid brass alloy, matching the conductor tube's OD threads.

Different tip options are available for this nozzle. Recessed tips are commonly used for higher heat applications where a longer electrical stick-out is necessary or when the nozzle may come into contact with the workpiece (as in tack, spot, and stitch welding). Flush tips, on the other hand, are suitable for shorter electrical stick-outs, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths, bringing the tip closer to the workpiece. Protruding tips are ideal for welding open root pipes or tight weld joints, but caution is needed to avoid damaging the front end parts through arcing, which may require some downtime for replacement.
