The Tweco® Coarse Threaded Copper Nozzle is specifically designed for standard gas diffusers. It features a bore size of 3/4" and is made from a solid copper alloy bar to ensure consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation. With a nozzle length of 1.46" and an outer diameter of 1.057", this nozzle is perfect for medium to heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A.
The nozzle has a 2-piece design and is constructed from 145 tellurium copper alloy. It is sold in packs of two. The part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification. The nozzle housing threads onto the nozzle insulator, which are both sold separately. The nozzle insulator provides insulation to the nozzle by threading onto the conductor tube.
The nozzle is available with different tip options to suit various welding requirements. The recess contact tip relationship ranges from 0.125" to 0.156" and is ideal for higher heat applications with longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle comes into contact with the work piece.
Please note that recessed tips are commonly used for higher heat applications, flush tips are suitable for shorter electrical stick-out resulting in shorter arc lengths, and protruding tips are preferred for welding joints that require access to tight spaces. However, using protruding tips carries the risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially damaging front-end parts and causing downtime for replacement.
