The Tweco® Coarse Threaded Copper Nozzle with a 3/4" bore size is specifically designed for nozzle insulation. Constructed from a solid copper alloy bar, this nozzle ensures consistent dimensional stability and effective heat dissipation. With a 1.75" length and 1.07" outer diameter, it is ideal for medium to heavy-duty welding applications up to 450 A. For easy identification, the part number is rolled stamped on the outer surface. Made from the reliable 145 tellurium copper alloy, this 2-piece nozzle has a recess contact tip relationship of 0.125 - 0.156", making it suitable for high-heat scenarios that require longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may come into contact with the workpiece. Sold in packs of 2, it is easy to identify with the part number rolled stamped on the outside surface. The nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately. The separate nozzle insulator threads onto the conductor tube to provide insulation to the nozzle. Recessed Tips, commonly used in higher heat applications, allow for longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle touches the workpiece (tack, spot, and stitch). Flush Tips are typically used with shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths, bringing the tip closer to the workpiece. Protruding Tips are primarily utilized when welding open-root pipe or any joint that requires access to tight spaces. However, they carry the risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, which may result in damage to the front end parts, necessitating replacement and downtime.
