The Tweco® Coarse Threaded Copper Nozzle is designed to provide consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation. With a 0.625" bore size and a 2.09" length, this nozzle is ideal for medium to heavy duty welding applications up to 450 A. It is made of a durable 145 tellurium copper alloy and features a rolled stamped part number for easy identification. Sold in packs of 2, this nozzle is compatible with standard gas diffusers.
The nozzle is machined from a solid copper alloy bar, ensuring consistent dimensions and effective heat dissipation. The part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for quick identification. Please note that the nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately. The nozzle insulator threads onto the conductor tube and provides insulation to the nozzle.
The two-piece design features a nozzle housing that threads onto the nozzle insulator. A recessed tip is best suited for applications that require higher heat and longer electrical stick-out, or in cases where the nozzle may touch the work piece. Alternatively, the flush tip is generally used when a shorter electrical stick-out is needed, resulting in shorter arc lengths. On the other hand, protruding tips are ideal for welding in tight joints such as open root pipes, but there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, which could require downtime for replacement of front end parts.
