The Tweco® Short Stop Heavy Duty Nozzle is designed with a 3/4" bore size to fit standard gas diffusers, providing excellent protection for weld quality and gun life. This 3.48" nozzle, with an outer diameter of 0.97", is perfect for heavy duty welding applications up to 450 A. You can easily identify this nozzle by the rolled stamped part number on its outer surface. Made of 122 DHP copper alloy, the 0.125" - 0.156" nozzle recess contact tip relationship ensures optimal performance. The adjustable nozzle housing is crafted from copper alloy tubing for durability. Each pack includes 2 nozzles. Utilize the part number stamped on the outside surface for easy identification. The nozzle housing, made from 122 dhp copper alloy tubing, is cut and formed. It easily slides over the standard nozzle insulator, part No 34a (stock No 1340-1100), allowing you to adjust the nozzle to achieve the desired contact tip and nozzle relationship. Recessed tips are suitable for high heat applications that require longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may come into contact with the work piece, such as tack, spot, and stitch welding. Flush tips are ideal for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths and bringing the tip closer to the work piece. Protruding tips are ideal for welding open root pipes or tight weld joints. However, there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially causing damage to front end parts and requiring downtime for replacement.
