The Tweco® Short Stop Copper Nozzle is a high-quality accessory for your welding needs. With its 1/2" bore size, this nozzle is specifically designed to work with standard gas diffusers and Tweco® No. 4 MIG guns up to 450 A. The 3.48" size and 0.875" outer diameter make it ideal for medium to heavy duty welding applications requiring up to 450 A.
To ensure easy identification, the part number is rolled stamped on the outer surface of the nozzle. Made of 122 DHP copper alloy, it is both adjustable and durable. This nozzle has a recessed contact tip relationship ranging from 0.125 to 0.156", making it perfect for higher heat applications that require a longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may touch the work piece.
Each pack contains 2 nozzles for your convenience. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, and it easily slides over the standard nozzle insulator (part No 34a - stock No 1340-1100).
Please note that recessed tips are generally used for higher heat applications where longer electrical stick-out is required, or when there is a chance of the nozzle touching the work piece during tack, spot, and stitch welding. On the other hand, flush tips are suitable for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths, bringing the tip closer to the work piece. Protruding tips are ideal for welding in tight weld joints, such as open root pipes, but there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially causing damage to front end parts and requiring replacement.
