OVERVIEW

The Tweco® 23 Series Self Insulated Nozzle with a bore size of 0.625" is specifically designed for standard gas diffusers. It is easily threaded into the conductor tube assembly. This heavy-duty welding nozzle, measuring 3.219" in length with a 0.97" outer diameter, can handle welding applications of up to 450 A. The part number is conveniently rolled stamped on the outer surface for effortless identification.

The nozzle, made of 122 DHP copper alloy, features a 9/16"-18 UNC-2B thread size and a recess contact tip relationship of 0.125 - 0.156". It is suitable for situations where a longer electrical stick-out is required or when the nozzle comes in contact with the workpiece.

Constructed with a 3-piece design, the nozzle includes a housing cut and formed from copper alloy tubing, an insert machined from solid brass, and an insulator made of silicone material. The nozzle insert allows for internal thread machining to match the conductor tube OD threads. By utilizing the nozzle insulator, the nozzle provides the necessary electrical insulation required from the gas diffuser.

Sold in packs of 2, this nozzle offers easy identification with the part number rolled stamped on the outside surface. Its 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insulator is made from G7 silicone material, providing electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. Additionally, the nozzle insert is machined from a solid brass allow and can be used to match the conductor tube OD threads.

This versatile nozzle design caters to different welding needs. Recessed tips are ideal for high-heat applications, offering longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may touch the workpiece for tack, spot, and stitch welding. Flush tips, on the other hand, are suited for situations with shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths. This brings the tip closer to the workpiece. Protruding tips are designed to weld open root pipes or any joint requiring the welder to access a tight weld joint. However, there is a potential downside to using protruding tips as arcing the tip to the workpiece can damage front end parts, leading to downtime for replacement.

This nozzle uses a convenient thread-on mechanism for easy installation.
