The Tweco® 23 Series Self Insulated Nozzle is designed to meet the requirements of standard gas diffusers. With a 1/2" bore size, this nozzle is perfect for heavy-duty welding applications up to 450 A. The 3.11" Nozzle, made of high-quality 122 DHP copper alloy, ensures excellent performance and durability.
Featuring a part number rolled stamped on the outer surface for easy identification, this nozzle provides convenience for users. Its 3-piece design includes a nozzle housing, nozzle insert, and nozzle insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insert is precisely machined from solid brass. The nozzle insulator is made of silicone material, delivering the necessary electrical insulation required from the gas diffuser.
The nozzle insert allows for machining of internal threads to match the conductor tube OD threads, ensuring a perfect fit. The flush contact tip relationship, measuring 0.062", allows for longer electrical stick-out when needed, bringing the tip closer to the work piece.

- Recessed Tips: Ideal for high-heat applications and longer electrical stick-out. Can be used in situations where the nozzle may touch the work piece (tack, spot, and stitch).
- Flush Tips: Perfect for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Allows the tip to be closer to the work piece.
- Protruding Tips: Designed for welding open root pipes or tight weld joints. Please note that there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, which may require downtime to replace front end parts.
