The Tweco® Self Insulated Copper Nozzle with a 1/2" bore size is specially designed for use with up to 180 A Tweco® mini-MIG-gun® MIG guns. This 2.224" Nozzle with a 3/4" OD is perfect for light to medium duty welding applications. It is made of 122 DHP copper alloy and features a part number stamped on the outer surface for easy identification.
The nozzle has a 3-piece design, consisting of a nozzle housing made from copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from g7 silicone material. The nozzle insert allows for internal thread machining to match the gas diffuser, ensuring a secure fit. The electrical insulation required from the gas diffuser is provided by the nozzle insulator.
This product is sold as a pack of 2 nozzles and offers easy identification with the part number rolled stamped on the outside surface. The 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator and allows for easy threading onto the gas diffuser. Different types of tips are available for specific welding needs, including recessed tips for higher heat applications, flush tips for shorter stick-out, and protruding tips for tight weld joints.
Please note that while protruding tips offer advantages in certain welding situations, there is a risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, which could result in damage and downtime. This product features a convenient thread-on design.
