OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Robotics Nozzle Assembly with eliminator is designed with a 3-piece structure and is specifically crafted to be compatible with robotic/fixed automation MIG guns. This Nozzle Assembly features a 5/32" protruding tip with a 1/2" Dia bore and a G7 silicone insulator that provides electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. It is suitable for light to medium duty welding applications up to 600 A, especially in situations where longer electrical stick-out is required. The Nozzle Assembly insert is constructed from solid brass, allowing for the internal threads to be machined to match the gas diffuser. The Nozzle Assembly housing is formed from tellurium copper alloy bar, promoting effective heat dissipation. With a bottle-shaped geometry, the Nozzle Assembly eliminates the need for an additional insulator.

There are three types of tips available for this Nozzle Assembly: Recessed Tips, Flush Tips, and Protruding Tips. Recessed Tips are used for higher heat applications and when longer electrical stick-out is required. Flush Tips are suitable for situations where a shorter electrical stick-out is used, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Protruding Tips are used for welding open root pipe or tight weld joints, but caution must be taken to avoid arcing the tip to the work piece, which could lead to damage and the need for replacement of front end parts.

Additionally, the Nozzle Assembly has a straight ID bore at the front end, allowing for proper cleaning of the side walls to ensure smooth gas flow. It is recommended to use this nozzle with a nozzle cleaning station commonly found in robotic weld cells. The 3-piece design of the nozzle includes a Nozzle Housing machined from tellurium copper alloy bar, a Nozzle Insert machined from solid brass alloy with machined internal threads, and a Nozzle Insulator made from G7 silicone material that provides necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification. Overall, this nozzle is designed to seamlessly work with robotic/fixed automation MIG guns, offering a versatile and efficient solution.
