The Tweco® Self Insulated Slip-On Copper Nozzle is a high-quality product designed for welding applications. With a bore size of 3/4" and a 3.25" length, this nozzle is perfect for medium and heavy-duty welding up to 450 A. Its copper alloy construction ensures durability and reliability.
The nozzle features a 3-piece design that does not require an additional insulator. It consists of a nozzle housing made from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from silicone material. The nozzle insert is crimped in place to allow easy sliding over a metal spring in the gas diffuser.
One of the key advantages of this nozzle is its electrical insulation provided by the silicone nozzle insulator, which is essential for safe welding. The part number is conveniently rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification.
To suit different welding needs, there are three types of tips available. Recessed tips are ideal for applications requiring higher heat and longer electrical stick-out. Flush tips are used when a shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths are desired. Protruding tips are specifically designed for welding in tight weld joints or open root pipes, although there is a risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece.
