The Tweco® Self Insulated Slip-On Copper Nozzle is a high-quality accessory designed for heavy-duty welding applications. With a bore size of 0.625" and a nozzle size of 3.383" with an OD of 0.97", this nozzle is perfect for use with standard gas diffusers and can handle welding currents of up to 450 A.
For easy identification, the part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface of the nozzle. Made from a durable copper alloy, the nozzle features a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insert is machined from solid brass. The nozzle insulator, made from silicone material, provides the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser.
To ensure a secure fit, the nozzle insert is crimped in place, allowing the nozzle to slide over the metal spring that is part of the gas diffuser. This setup offers excellent electrical insulation while providing efficient gas flow.
Each pack contains 2 nozzles, making it convenient for welders to have spares on hand. The nozzle options include different tip types to suit various welding needs. Recessed tips are ideal for higher heat applications, providing longer electrical stick-out if required and preventing the nozzle from touching the work piece. Flush tips are suitable for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths. Protruding tips are best suited for welding in tight spaces, although there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece.
