OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Heavy Duty Coarse Threaded Copper Nozzle is designed for use in medium and heavy duty welding applications up to 200 A. It features a 0.625" bore size and a 3.383" nozzle with a 0.97" outer diameter, making it ideal for standard gas diffusers. The part number is rolled stamped on the external surface for easy identification. Made from copper alloy, the nozzle has a 3-piece design without an additional insulator. The design includes a nozzle housing, cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from silicone material. The nozzle insert allows for machining of internal threads to match the gas diffuser. It threads onto a standard EL gas diffuser and provides the necessary electrical insulation using the nozzle insulator. The nozzle is sold in packs of two. The 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is machined from tellurium copper alloy bar to ensure consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation. The nozzle insulator is made from g7 silicone material, offering electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert is machined from solid brass and allows for machining of internal threads to match the gas diffuser. The nozzle is available in three different tip configurations. Recessed Tips are used for higher heat applications or when a longer electrical stick-out is required. Flush Tips are used when a shorter electrical stick-out is needed, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Protruding Tips are used for welding in tight weld joints, although there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially causing damage and downtime for replacement.
