The Tweco® Brass Nozzle with a 1/2" size is designed for use with a standard gas diffuser. It is perfect for light to medium duty welding applications with a maximum amperage of 250 A. The part number is rolled stamped on the exterior surface, making it easy to identify. This nozzle is made from a durable copper alloy and has a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is crafted from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insert is machined from solid brass. The nozzle insulator is constructed from silicone material. The nozzle insert allows for internal thread machining, ensuring a perfect fit with the gas diffuser. Threads are available for use with the standard EL gas diffuser. The nozzle provides the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser using the nozzle insulator. Each pack contains 2 nozzles. There are three types of tips available: recessed, flush, and protruding. Recessed tips are used in higher heat applications and when longer electrical stick-out is required or when the nozzle may touch the workpiece. Flush tips are used when a shorter electrical stick-out is desired, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Protruding tips are used when welding open root pipe or tight weld joints are involved. However, there is a risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, potentially causing damage and requiring replacement parts.
