OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Slip-On Nozzle is designed for use with 250 A Tweco® SprayMaster® MIG guns. It has a bore size of 0.625" and fits standard gas diffusers.

This heavy-duty welding accessory is perfect for applications up to 250 A. It features a 2.383" nozzle with a 0.875" outer diameter.

For easy identification, the part number is rolled stamped on the outer surface. The nozzle is made of 122 DHP copper alloy and has a recess contact tip relationship of 0.125 - 0.156". This allows for longer electrical stick-out when needed or when the nozzle comes into contact with the work surface.

The nozzle has a 3-piece design that includes a nozzle housing made from copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a silicone nozzle insulator. The nozzle insert allows for easy sliding over the metal spring of the gas diffuser. The silicone nozzle insulator provides the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser.

The nozzle is sold in packs of 2 and offers easy identification with the part number rolled stamped on the outside surface. Its 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator.

It is important to note that the choice of nozzle tip - recessed, flush, or protruding - depends on the specific welding application. Recessed tips are ideal for higher heat applications or when the nozzle may touch the work piece. Flush tips are suitable for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Protruding tips are designed for tight weld joints, although there is a risk of arcing the tip to the work piece. This could potentially damage front end parts, requiring downtime for replacement.
