The Tweco® Weldskill® Standard Duty Brass Gas Diffuser is an excellent choice for various welding applications. It is specifically designed to be used with slip-on nozzle assemblies and the 200 A Tweco® Mini-MIG-Gun® series, as well as eliminator front-end consumables.
Crafted from high-quality 360-brass alloy bar stock, this gas diffuser ensures consistent dimensional stability. Its magnificent electrical properties make it perfect for light to medium duty standard welding application up to 200 A. The diffuser incorporates machined threads on the external surface, allowing easy threading of the nozzle assemblies and securely holding the nozzle in place during the welding process.
For added convenience, the part number is rolled stamped on the external surface of the gas diffuser, making it easy to identify. Additionally, it features a conduit set screw to accommodate the conduit liner, and a proper threaded conductor tube for seamless use with MIG guns. Each pack includes five gas diffusers.
The gas diffuser also comes with three different tip options: Recessed Tips, Flush Tips, and Protruding Tips. Recessed Tips are suitable for higher heat applications and longer electrical stick-out. Flush Tips are ideal for shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths. Protruding Tips are specifically designed for welding in tight weld joints, such as open root pipes. However, it is important to note that using Protruding Tips increases the risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, potentially causing damage to the front end parts and requiring downtime for replacement.
