The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 1/16" wire and is a perfect match for use with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series. This contact tip boasts excellent electrical properties, making it an ideal choice for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. Its part number and wire diameter are prominently marked for easy identification.
With a 1 1/2" length and M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, this contact tip features a 0.073" nominal ID and 0.375" OD. It is expertly crafted from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, with a consistently smooth inside diameter surface that carries a tolerance of +/-0.003". The threaded style ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. It is available in both slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles with different bore sizes to suit your needs.
Twisting the contact tip locks it securely in place, providing better electrical conductivity with increased surface contact. Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, simply twist it a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip.
