The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 0.045" wire and is the perfect choice for use with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series. This contact tip offers excellent electrical properties, making it an ideal option for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A.
With its part number and wire diameter clearly marked, this contact tip is easy to identify. Measuring 1 1/2" in size, it features an M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, a 0.054" nominal ID, and a 0.375" OD.
The contact tip is made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy and machined from a copper alloy tubing to provide a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003". Its threaded style ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun.
This contact tip is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles, with a variety of diameter bore options. It locks in place when twisted, allowing for increased surface contact and better electrical conductivity.
Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat away from the arc source. Additionally, when the tip wear point is reached, it can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to expose a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip.
