The Tweco® 16 Series Heavy Duty Tapered Contact Tip is a versatile accessory designed for heavy-duty welding applications. It is compatible with 0.035" wire and works perfectly with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series.
This contact tip offers excellent electrical properties and is made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy. It is machined from a copper alloy tubing, ensuring a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003". The 1 1/2" contact tip has an M8 X 1.25-6g thread size and features a part number and wire diameter for easy identification.
With its threaded style, it ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. The contact tip comes in both slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles, offering a choice of diameter bore sizes. When twisted, it locks in place, providing increased electrical conductivity with better surface contact.
The contact tip's thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source. This design increases the electrical conductive surface area, further enhancing electrical conductivity.
To increase the lifespan of the contact tip, simply twist it a quarter turn clockwise when the tip wear point is reached. This reveals a new wear point, doubling the life of the tip. The contact tip is sold in packs of 25.
