The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is a reliable option for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. It is designed to accommodate 5/64" wire and is compatible with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series.
This contact tip is made from durable extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, providing excellent electrical properties. It is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003". The contact tip has a threaded style, ensuring proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun.
With a 1 1/2" length and M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, this contact tip offers a secure fit. It also features a twist lock mechanism, providing increased surface contact for better electrical conductivity. Additionally, the contact tip's thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source.
To prolong the life of the contact tip, it can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to expose a new wear point when the tip wear point is reached. This innovative feature doubles the tip's lifespan. Each contact tip is conveniently marked with the part number and wire diameter for easy identification.
