The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed for use with 3/32" wire and is compatible with 350-600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as other specific MIG gun series. This contact tip has exceptional electrical properties, making it perfect for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. Its part number and wire diameter are clearly marked for easy identification.
Made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, this contact tip is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003". The threaded style ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. The slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles are available in different bore sizes. With a simple twist, the contact tip locks in place, providing increased surface contact and better electrical conductivity.
The thick-walled design of the contact tip acts as a heat sink by conducting heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, it can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip. Sold in packs of 25, each contact tip is marked with its part number and wire diameter for easy identification.
