The Tweco® 14 Series Standard Duty Tapered Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 1/16" wire and is compatible with 200 - 400 A Tweco® No.2, No.3, No.4 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series. This contact tip offers excellent electrical properties, making it an ideal choice for standard welding applications up to 400 A. Its part number and wire diameter are clearly marked for easy identification.
With a 1 1/2" length and 1/4"-28 UNF-2A thread size, the contact tip has a nominal ID of 0.073" and an OD of 1/4". It is crafted from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, providing a consistent and smooth surface with a precise inside diameter tolerance of +/-0.003". The threaded style ensures a proper connection with a gas diffuser when installed onto the MIG gun.
This contact tip is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles and is designed with a thick-walled construction to act as a heat sink, effectively dissipating heat away from the arc source. The twist-lock feature securely holds the contact tip in place, maximizing electrical conductivity and increasing the surface contact area with the diffuser.
When the tip wears out, simply twist it a quarter turn clockwise to expose a new wear point, effectively doubling the tip's lifespan. Sold in packs of 25, each contact tip is marked with the part number and wire diameter for easy reference.
