The Tweco® Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 1/16" wire and is specifically made for use with 200 - 400 A Tweco® No.2, No.3, and No.4 MIG guns, as well as certain MIG gun series. This contact tip has exceptional electrical properties that make it perfect for heavy duty welding applications up to 400 A. With its easily identifiable part number and wire diameter, it offers convenience and efficiency.
Constructed from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy and meticulously machined from a copper alloy tubing, this contact tip guarantees a consistent and smooth interior surface diameter with a tolerance of +/-0.003". Its threaded style ensures a secure connection to the gas diffuser when installed on the MIG gun. It is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles with various bore sizes to choose from.
When twisted, the contact tip securely locks in place, enhancing electrical conductivity by increasing surface contact. Its thick-walled design also acts as a heat sink, diverting heat away from the arc source. This contact tip has the ability to be twisted clockwise a quarter turn when the wear point is reached, revealing a fresh point and doubling the lifespan of the tip.
