The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Flux-Cored Contact Tip is the perfect accessory for heavy duty welding applications. It is designed to accommodate 1/8" wire and can be used with the 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns on aluminum wire, as well as specific MIG gun series.
Featuring excellent electrical properties, this contact tip offers reliable performance up to 600 A. It is easy to identify with its part number and wire diameter markings. The contact tip has a 1 1/2" length and a M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, with a 0.082" nominal ID and 0.375" OD.
Made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, this contact tip is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface. With its +/-0.003" tolerance, it provides a precise fit. The threaded style of the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun.
It is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles with various diameter bore sizes. The contact tip locks in place when twisted, offering enhanced electrical conductivity and increased surface contact. Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source.
To maximize the lifespan of the contact tip, simply twist it quarter turn clockwise when the wear point is reached, revealing a fresh wear point. This simple action doubles the life of the tip. Each pack contains 25 contact tips, ensuring you have an ample supply.
