The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 0.035" wire and is compatible with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series. This contact tip is perfect for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A, featuring excellent electrical properties. It is easily identifiable with its part number and wire diameter.
With a 1 1/2" length and M8 X 1.25-6g thread size, this contact tip has a 0.044" nominal inside diameter and 0.375" outside diameter. It is made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy and carefully machined from copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/- 0.003".
The threaded style ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun, and it is available in both slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles with various bore sizes. The twist and lock feature enhances the contact tip's electrical conductivity and provides increased surface contact.
Furthermore, the thick-walled design of this contact tip functions as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, it can be twisted quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the lifespan of the contact tip.
