It is compatible with 1/16" wire and works seamlessly with 200 - 500 A Tweco® No.5 MIG guns and various MIG gun series. Featuring excellent electrical properties, this contact tip ensures reliable performance at high amperages.
Identifying the contact tip is effortless, as it is clearly marked with its part number and wire diameter. With a thread size of 5/16"-18 UNC- 2A, a nominal ID of 0.073", and an OD of 0.345", it is precision-crafted from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy.
The contact tip's threaded style guarantees a secure connection with a gas diffuser when installed on the MIG gun. You have the option to choose between slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles and various diameter bore sizes.
For enhanced conductivity and surface contact, the contact tip locks in place when twisted. This twist-and-lock feature not only provides better electrical conductivity, but also doubles the lifespan of the tip by exposing a new wear point when the original one wears down. Additionally, the contact tip's thick-walled design serves as a heat sink, efficiently dissipating heat away from the arc source.
