The Tweco® Professional No. 3 Classic Series 300 A MIG Gun is designed for medium/heavy-duty fabrication in industrial applications. It has been an industry standard for over 40 years. This air-cooled MIG gun features a metal jacketed conductor tube and a 60% duty cycle with CO2 gas. The gun is compatible with wires ranging from 0.035 to 0.045" in size.
The 12' power cable, with a Miller® style rear connection, offers excellent wire feedability. The gun's handle has an oval shape, reducing the grip required to manipulate the MIG gun's position and minimizing operator fatigue. It is designed to pivot at the center of the handle, making it easy to use in different welding positions.
The gun can swivel 360 degrees around the handle, and the conductor tube can be quickly removed and replaced without removing the conduit. The fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection allows the user to easily connect or disconnect at the wire feeder.
For added convenience, the gun features a hanger at the bottom to rest the gun when it's not in use. The handle is made of a special plastic composition that is high impact and crush-resistant. The steel spring strain relief provides support to the Cablehoz® coming out the rear of the handle to minimize wire feed issues.
The mechanical connection of the conductor tube and Cablehoz® within the handle ensures an excellent current path to the end of the contact tip. Two ball-point screws are used to secure the Cablehoz® and conductor tube in place.
The trigger contains silver plated contacts with a self-cleaning action every time it's engaged and disengaged. This MIG gun also offers enhanced direct plug capabilities, making it durable and dependable for industrial applications.
It is field repairable, thanks to its split-half handle case which provides access for easy repairs. No additional connectors are required to repair the Cablehoz®. The gun also offers improved performance with longer life consumables, and a wide selection of front end consumables is available.
The Tweco® Professional No. 3 Classic Series 300 A MIG Gun is designed to lower inventory carrying costs, as the front end consumables are interchangeable between the Tweco® Spray Master® series and the Tweco® Professional No. Series.
