The Tweco® Professional No. 3 Classic Series 300 A MIG Gun is ideal for medium to heavy-duty fabrication. It can accommodate wires ranging in size from 0.035 to 0.045 inches. This air-cooled MIG gun has a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 gas. The 15' power cable offers excellent wire feedability and has a Tweco® style rear connection.
The MIG gun features a metal jacketed conductor tube and a fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection, allowing for easy connection and disconnection at the wire feeder. The oval shaped handle, which has been an industry standard for over 40 years, reduces the grip required to manipulate the MIG gun position. It is also balanced to pivot at the center of the handle, making it easy to use in different welding positions and reducing operator fatigue.
The gun is designed for durability in industrial application environments, with a high impact crush-resistant handle made from a special plastic composition. It also includes a gun hanger located at the bottom for convenient resting when not in use. The steel spring strain relief provides support to the Cablehoz® coming out of the rear of the handle, minimizing wire feed issues.
The mechanical connection of the conductor tube and Cablehoz® within the handle ensures an excellent current path to the end of the contact tip. It is securely held in place with two ball-point screws. The trigger contains silver plated contacts with a self-cleaning action every time it is engaged and disengaged.
This MIG gun offers enhanced direct plug capabilities and is durable and dependable for heavy-duty industrial applications. It is field repairable, with a split-half handle case that provides easy access for repairs. Additional connectors are not required for repairing the Cablehoz®. The MIG gun also provides improved performance with longer life consumables and a wide selection of front end consumables available. It is compatible with both the Tweco® Spray Master® series and Tweco® Professional No. Series, reducing inventory carrying costs.
